Location: London Borough of Sutton
Status: Completed
Contract Value: Undisclosed

Jonathan Talley Architects were appointed to review and redevelop a partially constructed building located within the grounds of Seaton House School. The initial commission involved assessing the existing structure - constructed only to shell stage and without any accompanying construction or Building Regulations records - and developing concept proposals for its completion and reuse.
Working closely with the school, a scheme was established to deliver two new classrooms and a flexible studio space within the existing structural framework. Due to the absence of a previous Building Regulations application, the practice led a proactive and collaborative process with Local Authority Building Control, shaping a clear compliance strategy that resulted in an expanded and more detailed appointment.
The completed project provides light-filled, contemporary teaching spaces that represent a significant upgrade to the school’s facilities. The new classrooms have been very positively received by staff and pupils alike, supporting both learning and wellbeing within a high-quality architectural environment.
